Billy D'Allyn

Raised in the Los Angeles area Billy started playing guitar at age 9. At age 19 he switched to bass and went on to bands such as Roxong, Purgatory and finally De Allen. Playing in and around the famous Sunset Strip De Allen enjoyed a good 7 year run before internal issues caused the original line-up to split. He then joined former De Allen keyboard player Jim Gorski in Axis and later was invited to join Inside Out with Paul Alfery and Steve Skylar where he remained until 1997.

After leaving Inside Out for health reasons in 1997 Billy began to write and record the next 2 De Allen CD's "Twisted Inside" and "Deceptions Of Reality" working with former De Allen guitarist Nick Ruiz and former Armada drummer John Heald. Billy also continued to build his own Stage One Recording facility up so as to enjoy the freedom of recording and producing. In 2001 he relocated to Southern Oregon and in 2004 again to St. Louis, where not by coincidence former Inside Out bandmate and founder Paul Alfery also was residing.

It was decided between Paul, Steve and Billy to pool material and forces and work together on the 2nd Guilty Pleasure CD. Using both Paul and Billy's studios 12 new tracks were recorded and are still in production for the next Guilty Pleasure release that is yet untitled.

Billy uses Carvin LB76 six string basses exclusively as well as Ampeg bass amplification and Eminence speakers.
